Understanding Job Statuses

Each job posting on Pillo has a status that helps employers track its lifecycle.

Understanding these statuses makes it easier to manage job visibility, applications, and hiring activity.

Draft

A Draft job is a posting that has been created but not yet published. Draft jobs:

  • Are only visible internally to your company
  • Cannot be seen by job seekers
  • Can still be edited or updated
  • May be waiting for completion, review, payment, or company verification

Active

An Active job is currently published and visible to job seekers on Pillo. Active jobs:

  • Appear in search results
  • Accept candidate applications
  • Are publicly visible on the platform
  • Can still be edited while live

Inactive

An Inactive job is temporarily unavailable and not accepting applications. Inactive jobs:

  • Are hidden from job seekers
  • Do not receive new applications
  • May have been paused by your company
  • Can usually be reactivated later

Employers often use this status when:

  • Hiring is temporarily paused
  • Internal approvals are pending
  • The role is being updated

Closed

A Closed job means the hiring process for that role has ended. Closed jobs:

  • Are removed from public job listings
  • No longer accepts applications
  • Remain accessible internally for reporting and applicant review
  • Can be archived or duplicated for future use

Common reasons for closing a job:

  • The role has been filled
  • Hiring has ended
  • The position is no longer needed
